1. What is uInform.com?
   uInform.com contains news stories and websites submitted by users and then promoted to the front page through a user-based ranking system. The user instead of an editorial board as other news sites do, becomes the editor of the news story. It combines social bookmarking, blogging, and syndication with a form of non-hierarchical, democratic editorial control making the content more relevant for the final reader.


2. How to promote stories to the homepage
   Once a story is submitted by a user it is instantly posted in the uInform.Com queue. This is a temporary holding place where stories wait to be promoted to the homepage. To help promote stories to the homepage, simply visit the "submitted stories" area and vote for stories you think are cool. Once a story has received enough votes, it is instantly promoted. Should the story not receive enough votes, or is reported, it eventually falls out of the queue. uInform.Com works because a large group of people actively promote good stories to the homepage. Since this site's content is user-driven, it is up to YOU to contribute.


3. How to submit stories
   Submitting stories is easy. Simply click on "submit a story" and enter the URL of the story you would like to submit. Then fill out a title, description, and category for the story. Should you encounter a potential duplicate, please vote for the original story and do not submit a duplicate entry.


4. How to add uInform.Com news to your website
   There are currently two types of ways you can add uInform.Com to your website, uInform.Com homepage news and uInform.Com user news. If you would like to add the latest uInform.Com homepage stories to your website simply click "add uInform.Com news" on the uInform.Com homepage right navigation. To add uInform.Com user news, (your latest stories, or someone else's) visit the user's profile you would like to add (uInform.Com/users/username) and click "add this feed" in the uInform.Com history navigation.


5. How to post individual stories to your blog
   uInform.Com currently supports single click blog posting to Typepad, Blogger, Live Journal, Moveable Type, and Wordpress. To blog any story within uInform.com, simply click "blog story".


6. How to recall your bookmarked stories
   Every time you submit, vote, or comment on a story it is bookmarked and stored within your user profile. To visit your user profile, click your username on the top navigation or enter any user's address manually: uInform.Com/users/username.


7. How to add/link friends
   Ever want to group multiple friend's RSS feeds together? With uInform.Com friends you can now track all your friend's uInform.Com/stories/comments under one place. Visit the "friends" tab under your user profile to add and remove friends.


8. How to remove a bad story
   uInform.Com gives moderation control back to the community. Should you run across any stories with bad links, irrelevant content, or duplicate entries, please report them using the "problem" report feature.


9. How to block another user's comments
   Next to each comment is a [block/report] link which allows users to block other user's comments. If you've accidentally blocked someone and wish to unblock them, you can do so in your personal profile account settings.
